Education Programs

The Paso Del Norte Chapter has a strong commitment to the mission of Safari Club International and also to the education of hunters, sportsmen, women, and especially youngsters, who are interested in the outdoors, hunting and shooting.

To help accomplish the goals of this Mission, the Paso Del Norte has been active in sending a local teacher to the American “Wilderness Leadership School” (web link).  These workshops are held each summer at SCI facilities in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and also in Bryant Pond, Maine. Our chapter has sponsored 3 local teachers over the past three years of our involvement in the AWLS program. If a teacher is interested in being sponsored by our chapter, he or she can download the application form online.  The application must be submitted to our chapter by April 1st. Teachers selected will be notified by mid-May, to allow time for making travel arrangements.

Other programs available through SCI include B.O.W. (Becoming an Outdoors Woman), the Student AWLS Program and the Hunter Apprentice Program.

If you are interested in learning more about these programs or other programs offered by SCI, view the links listed below or contact the Education committee chair of the Paso Del Norte Chapter (using the form below).
